HG IBO #40 ASW-G-35 Gundam Marchosias

$25.99

The Gundam Marchosias is one of the 72 Mobile Suits constructed during the Calamity War utilizing Gjallarhorn’s mighty Gundam Frame. The Gundam Marchosias is one of the Gundam units presumed lost after the Calamity War, with the only initial evidence of its existence coming from a centuries-old Gjallarhorn database. The Gundam Marchosias features a unique design and equipment loadout, including two pairs of sub-arms capable of wielding small handheld weapons. This strange configuration helped the Gundam Marchosias combat the massive, otherworldy Mobile Armors that plagued the Earth over 300 years ago!

Included alongside the HG Gundam Marchosias for accessories:

  • Short Sword x4
  • Large Longsword
  • Scabbard
  • Knuckle Claw x2
  • Shield

Articulation
 –

The HG Gundam Marchosias uses the same internal construction as the rest of the HG IBO Gundams, so building Gundam Marchosias will be pretty familiar if you’ve assembled other HG IBO models before. While this may seem like pure cost-cutting, it accurately reflects Post-Disaster timeline lore. The model features double-jointed knees and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion for builders to create dynamic poses! The HG Gundam Marchosias features four individually articulated sub-arms built into its frame, allowing the Mobile Suit to wield six weapons at once! The Mobile Suit features a pair of wing binders attached to its backpack, each providing multiple articulation points to create convincing flying poses!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Gundam Marchosias includes a set of four Short Swords stored alongside its sub-arms. The Mobile Suit also sorties with the Large Long Sword as its primary weapon. This weapon comes with a massive Scabbard to attach the equipment on Gundam Marchosias’s back when not in use. Alternatively, the Gundam Marchosias could wield the sword with the sheath still attached, creating a powerful blunt-force weapon dubbed the Bastard Mace. The Gundam Marchosias features additional armor plating on both of its wrists, also serving as close-range claws when inverted. The Mobile Suit also sorties with a small Shield attached to its forearm, providing further defense against incoming attacks.

HG IBO #40 ASW-G-35 Gundam Marchosias

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG IBO #40 Gundam Marchosias with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
