The Psycho Zaku is an experimental prototype Mobile Suit operated by the Principality of Zeon’s Living Dead Division. This Mobile Suit’s most notable feature is its Reuse “P” Device Operating System, which allows the pilot to control the Psycho Zaku using thought alone. This powerful equipment served as the precursor to psycommu technology, giving its user a significant advantage over standard Mobile Suits. Unlike a traditional psycommu system, the Reuse “P” Device uses a physical connection to its user, requiring a quadruple-amputee pilot to utilize the Mobile Suit’s full capabilities.

Articulation –

The HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku is identical in construction to the original version of the HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku released in 2013 alongside the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt manga. The HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku comes molded in slightly altered colors, matching the Mobile Suit’s appearance in the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt OVA. This model features double-jointed knees and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku also includes an adjustable display stand to help builders showcase this fully-equipped Mobile Suit as it hurdles through space. Bandai provided thorough sheets of color-correcting and marking stickers to recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku features a massive assortment of handheld weaponry at its disposal. Almost all of the weapons included with this model feature specific storage locations on the Mobile Suit’s backpack, providing a unique, fully-loaded appearance. This model also includes a pair of sub-arms that builders can connect to the HG High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku’s backpack, allowing the Mobile Suit to wield four weapons at once!

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type Psycho Zaku (Gundam Thunderbolt Ver.) with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
