HG Seed #13 MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame

The Gundam Astray Blue Frame is one of five Gundam Astray units assembled in secret by the Orb Union. In their original configuration, the Gundam Astrays were identical, distinguished only by the color of their internal frame (as the name would suggest). Orb engineers utilized data stolen from the Earth Alliance’s G Project, effectively copying their beam technology but unable to recreate the G-Project Gundam’s Phase Shift Armor. Instead, The Gundam Astray Blue Frame and its sisters utilize much lighter and less restrictive armor, granting them a significant increase in maneuverability and handling compared to the Earth Alliance Units. After a series of events, the Gundam Astray Blue Frame would fall into the hands of Serpent Tail, an independent team of mercenaries led by the eventual pilot of the Gundam Astray Blue Frame, Gai Murakumo.

Articulation –

Like its in-universe counterpart, the HG Gundam Astray Blue Frame shares its assembly with the HG Gundam Astray Red Frame, only featuring a new weapon and different coloring. Both of these models are quickly approaching 20 years old, and thus, miss out on some modern aspect builders have come to expect from the High Grade line. But, at just over 100 pieces, the Gundam Astray Blue Frame is an excellent choice for a first-time builder or someone looking for a quick and satisfying build of one of the most iconic Mobile Suits from the Cosmic Era.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Gundam Astray Blue Frame includes a pair of Beam Sabers mounted to its backpack, each with its Beam Effect to recreate its deployment. The Gundam Astray Blue Frame’s Type 71 Beam Rifle is identical to the ones used by the other Gundam Astrays and Orb’s current Mobile Suits, serving as the Gundam Astray Blue Frame’s primary ranged weapon. With this model, you’ll receive the M68 “Cattus” 500mm Recoilless Rifle instead of the Red Frame’s “Gerbera Straight” Mobile Suit Katana. The 500mm Rifle can utilize multiple ammo types, making it a versatile choice for any Mobile Suit.
