HG SEED #22 ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom

The Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom is a long-range variant of the Zaku Warrior painted to the liking of ZAFT ace pilot Lunamaria Hawke. The Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom uses the EX-A1 Gunner Wizard Pack, which gives the Mobile Suit a gigantic Beam Cannon along with a massive energy pack to power the weapon. The Wizard System was the predecessor of the Impulse Gundam’s Silhouette Pack System. The Wizard System allowed ZAFT to easily change the loadouts of their Zaku Warriors depending on the situation. This HG rendition of the Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom is almost identical to the Mass Production Variant of the Gunner Zaku Warrior but in a brilliant red finish!

Articulation –

The Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom is not a member of the HGCE lineup. These older HG Seed kits provide a satisfying and fully articulated Mobile Suit at a great value. There are unique techniques used throughout the construction of the Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom, especially when attaching the shoulders. The thighs attach to the waist via a ball joint, which unfortunately means that there is no thigh-swivel gimmick. Although it may not be as articulate as more modern High Grades, the solid thigh matches the original design a lot better.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The EX-A1 Gunner Wizard’s primary addition to the Mobile Suit is the massive Orthos Long-Range Beam Cannon. This weapon is fixed to the unit’s backpack and requires both manipulators to reduce the recoil between shots. The arm connecting the cannon to the Wizard Pack articulates at both ends, allowing builders to deploy the weapon just like in the anime! The barrel and stock of the Orthos Cannon both fold outward for deployment too. Bandai also included a flexible red cable to power the rifle. The Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawke Custom’s Shoulder Shield is a fixed armament and articulates on a pair of ball joints for a dynamic look in any pose.
