HG SEED #58 MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame Flight Unit

The Gundam Astray Red Frame is one of five Gundam Astray units assembled in secret by the Orb Union. In their original configuration, the Gundam Astrays were identical, distinguished only by the color of their internal frame (as the name would suggest). Orb engineers utilized data stolen from the Earth Alliance’s G Project, effectively copying their beam technology but unable to recreate the G-Project Gundam’s Phase Shift Armor. Instead, The Gundam Astray Red Frame and its sisters utilize much lighter and less restrictive armor, providing significantly more maneuverability and handling than the Earth Alliance’s Gundam units. After a series of events, the Red Frame fell into the hands of Junk Guild member Lowe Guele, who would soon become the Mobile Suit’s pilot.

Articulation –

The HG Gundam Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit) borrows most of its construction from the previously released HG #57 Astray Blue Frame Second L, showcasing the in-universe lineage that connects these two Mobile Suits. This model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Gundam Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit)’s flight unit features rotating wings and articulated lower thrusters for dynamic flying poses! This model includes thorough sheets of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The HG Gundam Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit) includes the Type 71 Beam Rifle as its primary weapon. Builders can attach this weapon to the inside of the Mobile Suit’s Shield for storage. The Shield and Beam Rifle will connect to the Flight Unit when not equipped, thanks to the included adapter. The most captivating weapon at the HG Gundam Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit)’s disposal is the BuCUE Tactical Reconnaissance Type Head Unit, fashioned from an old BuCUE Head purchased on the black market. The BuCUE Head functions as a weaponized gauntlet, with Beam Blades protruding from both sides of its mouth! Bandai even included an additional set of Beam Effects for displaying this weapon.
