The RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type is a special operations Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Federation’s ECOAS Division. This group operates outside the jurisdiction of Londo Bell and the Earth Federation. ECOAS often engages in Mobile Suit combat, utilizing the RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type to fulfill many combat roles. The RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type further modifies the Jegan D Type’s frame, featuring additional sensors and armor plating to reduce pilot casualties. This militaristic redesign of the already awesome Jegan design will make an excellent addition to any HGUC collection!

Articulation –

The RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type borrows various components from the previously released HGUC #97 RGM-89 Jegan. The RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type’s build should feel familiar if you’ve built a few Federation-style High Grade models. Bandai squeezed out a stellar completed model in under 150 pieces, so builders of any skill level should have no problem giving the RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type a try! There are tons of fun gimmicks, like deployable grenades and a Beam Saber attached to the skirt armor.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Bazooka used by the RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type features two articulated handles, which give the model a much more dynamic and realistic look when holding the Bazooka. The RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type uses the same Beam Rifle and Shield as the RGM-89 Jegan, and just like the original, includes a set of marking stickers to customize your HGUC RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type. Swap out the additional sensor for the included deployed version to display the RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type with its “goggles,” folded down.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #123 RGM-89De Jegan ECOAS Type with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
