HGUC #158 Type 89 Base Jabber

The Type 89 Base Jabber is a Sub-Flight Support Unit used by the Earth Federation during Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Unlike its predecessor, the Type 89 Base Jabber operates primarily in space as a means of transporting Federation Mobile Suits to the frontlines without wasting their onboard propellant. Soldiers pilot the Type 89 Base Jabber from the cockpit and can hand off flight controls to the attached Mobile Suit depending on the situation.

Articulation –

This HGUC model kit is like no other! There are almost zero moving parts on the Type 89 Base Jabber. In total, there are only 45 pieces required to build the Base Jabber, far below the standard for HGUC models! The Type 89 Base Jabber will build up super fast and take much less effort to complete than traditional Mobile Suit model kits. The Type 89 Base Jabber’s articulation is limited to the sliding footrests on the topside and underside. There are several optional parts for alternating between different versions of the Base Jabber, including adapters for securing your 1/144 scale models to the Type 89 Base Jabber.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The largest of the included option parts is the external propellant tanks, which mount to the underside of the Type 89 Base Jabber. Remove this component when a second Mobile Suit is attached. There is also a set of landing gear attached to the Type 89 Base Jabber. Bandai uses a foil sticker to recreate the glow of the cockpit, which should be yellow for color accuracy.
