HGUC #159 AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra

The AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra was formerly part of the same Gundam Development Project that spawned the GP0X series of Gundams. After the GP04 Gundam’s cancellation, the plans were repurposed as a Zeon-Style Mobile Suit and given to the Delaz Fleet. Further modifications to the design done by the Delaz Fleet gave birth to the AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra seen in  Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.

The HGUC version of the AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra includes:

  • X-04 Beam Machine Gun
  • Beam Saber x2
  • Stürm Booster


Articulation –

Thanks to its double-jointed knees, the AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra can be posed dynamically while on an action base for better flying poses. There’s also no skirt armor to inhibit the articulation in the legs, so you can display your AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra dashing across the sky just as it appears in the anime. You may find some issues posing with the arms due to the oversized shoulder armor.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Stürm Booster is an optional equipment piece for the AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra. The Stürm Booster combines a massive propellant tank and two additional vernier thrusters. There are also two ejectable propellant tanks for added survivability.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #159 AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
