The Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode is the modified version of Banshee used at the end of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series. This High Grade version of the Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode is almost entirely the same as the HGUC #134 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode) version, only featuring a few new updates.

The updates to the Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode include:

  • Beam Magnum with Revolving Launcher
  • Armed Armor DE
  • Armed Armor XC
  • Beam Jitte Effect
  • Beam Saber Hilt x4
  • Beam Magnum Magazine
  • Spare Revolving Launcher


Articulation –

If you’ve built any other HGUC Unicorn model kits, you’ve pretty much already completed this one too. This time around, however, the Armed Armor Units may hinder your ability to pose the model. Some builders may want to check out the RG #27 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn version because it’s also 1/144 scale and can transform between Unicorn and Destroy mode!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

Use the included Beam Jitte for displaying the Revolving Launcher as it fires off a round towards its target. When not in use, the Beam Magnum can be stored on the backpack of the Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode. The shield can also be plugged into the same spot on the backpack with an additional adapter.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #175 RX-0 [N] Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
