The RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb is the final version of the GP01 Gundam in the Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. After the GP01 was critically damaged, Anaheim made drastic repairs to the Mobile Suit and fitted the Gundam with new equipment meant for space use. The suit would then be called the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb Full Burnern and began chasing down the stolen RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis.

Articulation –

Like the HGUC #13 RX-78 GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes, the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb cannot transform or combine with the included Core Fighter II FB. This model kit was initially released over 20 years ago, making it a nice, simple build. Both of the Booster Pods have articulated attachment points for optimal posing. Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

You’ll need some pink paint to recreate the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb’s Beam Saber blade this time around. Or use one of the included hilts with any beam saber blades you’ve got lying around. The Beam Rifle is the same as the one included with the standard GP01. There are numerous molded details on the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb, but not enough color-correcting stickers to go around, so be prepared to break out the paints to recreate the Full Burnerns anime appearance!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #18 RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
