This one is a personal favorite of mine! The HGUC Victory Two Assault Buster Gundam model kit features a fantastic Mobile Suit and some wicked snazzy option parts. This model kit can create the Standard Victory 2 Gundam, The Victory 2 Assault Gundam, The Victory 2 Buster Gundam, or the Victory Two Assault Buster Gundam pictured on the box. This equipment adds some heft to the small and agile V2 Gundam, which is available separately if the armor isn’t your thing.

Articulation –

As for the Gundam itself, Bandai has squeezed a ton of articulation points into its tiny form factor. Who would expect a High Grade model of this size to come with articulated wrists? How awesome! Even the Buster Pack has multiple points of articulation to find your perfect pose. Due to the small size, Bandai used color-correcting stickers to give the HGUC Victory Two Assault Buster Gundam a more accurate appearance. The High Grade Victory 2 does not transform or have a separating Core Fighter Gimmick.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

Bandai included the standard Beam Rifle and Core Fighter from the original model kit but did not include the effect parts for the Beam Sabers or the Beam Shield. The Beam Saber hilts are still included but do not support standard beam saber blades. Use the included base adapter for displaying the Core Fighter in flight. Even with all of its armor equipped, the Victory 2 should still stand on its feet without any support!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #189 LM314V23 / 24 Victory Two Assault Buster Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
