The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex is the final RX-0 Unit constructed in the Earth Federation’s UC Project, which sought the further development of Psychoframe technology. This Gundam made its first animated appearance in the Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative movie, alongside the RX-9/C Narrative Gundam. This version is identical to the HGUC #216 Gundam Unicorn 03 Phenex Destroy Mode (Narrative Ver.) Gold Coating but without the Gold plating.

With the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Destroy Mode, Bandai included:

  • Armed Armor DE x2
  • Standard Shield (Destroy mode)
  • Beam Magnum
  • Spare Magazine for Beam Magnum


Articulation –

The construction for the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Destroy Mode is the same as the other HGUC Unicorn Destroy mode models. Bandai used transparent blue plastic to represent the exposed psychoframe. Improve the quality of the molded gold with ease by using some gloss clearcoat or even some metallic gold paint if that’s more to your liking.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Destroy Mode includes the standard Beam Magnum and shield used by the other Unicorn Gundams. The Two Armed Armor DE Units feature articulated tailpieces. These Armor Units can detach from the Gundam and be displayed flying autonomously using action bases!

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #213 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex [Destroy Mode] (Narrative Ver.) with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
