HGUC #52 RMS-108 Marasai

$17.99

Anaheim Electronics initially developed the RMS-108 Marasai for the AEUG to use as a mass-production model. The RMS-108 Marasai was instead given to the Titans to prevent an unnecessary conflict with the hot-tempered organization. The RMS-108 Marasai served as a vast improvement over the Federation-built RMS-106 Hi-Zack, featuring Gundarium Alloy armor and an improved powerplant. Unlike its predecessor, the RMS-108 Marasai can fully utilize Beam Weaponry. This HGUC version of the RMS-108 Marasai matches its appearance in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam animated series.

Accessories for the RMS-108 Marasai are as follows:

  • BR-87A Beam Rifle
  • Beam Saber x2

Articulation
 –

Bandai released the HGUC RMS-108 Marasai over 15 years ago! This model kit provides a sweet-looking and fully articulated Mobile Suit using under 150 pieces, perfect for beginners or someone looking for a straightforward old-school Gunpla model to add to their collection. The shoulder spikes mount to the RMS-108 Marasai’s arm via ball joint for a more dynamic look. The Shoulder Shield articulates in two places and will rotate on its attachment point for better posing.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The BR-87A Beam Rifle features a removable e-pac and handle. In-universe, this weapon outputs a maximum of 2.2 MW, .3 higher than the RX-78-2 Gundam‘s Beam Rifle. The RMS-108 Marasai uses a pair of unusually long Beam Sabers for close-quarters engagements. The Beam Sabers attach to the inside of the Shoulder Shield to recharge when not in use. Bandai included a set of transparent yellow Beam Effects for deploying the RMS-108 Marasai’s Beam Sabers.

This kit includes:

5 Runners total (A, B1, B2, C, PC123+)

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #52 RMS-108 Marasai with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
