The RX-93 Nu Gundam is one of the most famous Mobile Suits piloted by Amuro Ray. Of his personal suits, the RX-93 Nu Gundam is easily one of the most powerful thanks to its psychoframe construction and many other state-of-the-art improvements. Amuro would use the RX-93 Nu Gundam to defend Earth from the falling Axis Base during the Second Neo Zeon War. This HGUC rendition of the RX-93 Nu Gundam builds into an excellent recreation of the RX-93 Nu Gundam’s animated appearance in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.

Articulation –

Fans of the Nu Gundam design will be pleased to find out that each Fin Funnel included with the RX-93 Nu Gundam articulates separately and detach and reattach to each other with ease! The RX-93 Nu Gundam features double-jointed knees for added posability. The torso attaches to the waist with a strong ball joint connection to support the Fin Funnel rack and maintain an acceptable level of posability. The HGUC rendition of the RX-93 Nu Gundam’s shoulder armor is attached separate from the rest of the arm, giving the model a much more dynamic appearance.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

Unlike the RX-93-ν2 HI-NU GUNDAM, the HGUC RX-93 Nu Gundams weapons come in multiple colors as portrayed on the box. The Hyper Bazooka slots into the backpack like in the movie too! The primary Beam Saber attaches to the Nu Gundam’s backpack and includes a unique pair of Beam Effects to recreate the Double-bladed action! The RX-93 Nu Gundam’s forearm contains a spare Beam Saber for emergency use. There is an alternate Beam Effect included for deploying this weapon too! The RX-93 Nu Gundam’s Shield attaches using the same bracket piece as many other HGUC Models, such as the HGUC #56 RX-121-1 Gundam TR-1 Hazel Custom making customization a breeze!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #86 RX-93 Nu Gundam ν with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
