MG RX-78GP03S Gundam GP03S Stamen

The RX-78GP03S Gundam “Stamen” is a prototype Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation’s Gundam Development Project. The RX-78GP03S Gundam “Stamen” is the control unit for the RX-78GP03 Gundam “Dendrobium” Mobile Weapon, the third product of the Gundam Development Project designed to combine the versatility of a Mobile Suit with the overwhelming power of a Mobile Armor. Like its sister unit, the Gundam RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes, the GP03S Gundam features a Core Block System. Anaheim developed the Core Fighter II-Sp to serve as the Mobile Suit’s cockpit and backpack. Anaheim would later use a Core Block with the same Linear Seat-style cockpit as the Gundam NT-1 for the Mobile Suit’s default configuration, which provides superior visibility and targeting capabilities.

Articulation –

The MG GP03S Gundam uses a combination of internal frame pieces and hollow armor sections, all supported by an array of polycaps. This model also utilizes screws in its assembly, helping to stabilize the MG GP03S Gundam during posing. This model features an early iteration of double-jointed knees, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The MG GP03S Gundam features a functional Core Block System gimmick! Bandai provided a transformable Core Fighter and a traditional Linear Seat Core Block for builders to complete their MG GP03S Gundam.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The XBR-BOWA M-82A Beam Rifle included with the MG GP03S Gundam shares many cosmetic similarities with the Rifle used by the Gundam Zephyranthes but, thanks to improved internals, provides a slightly higher power output. The MG GP03S Gundam’s Folding Bazooka is a unique piece of equipment made to fit inside the Orchis Armed Base. The MG GP03S Gundam includes a pair of Beam Sabers stored inside its backpack for close-quarters engagements. This model also features a functioning Folding Arm gimmick, which builders can perform by unfolding the Mobile Suit’s forearms.
