PG MBF-02 Strike Rouge + Skygrasper

$224.99

After repairing the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam following its arrival at the Orb Union, the engineers at Morgenroete would find themselves with more than a handful of spare Strike Gundam Parts. From these parts, the MBF-02 Strike Rouge was born! The MBF-02 Strike Rouge is almost identical to the original specifications of the Strike Gundam, differing only in its upgraded power system. This upgrade provided the Mobile Suit with a drastically improved operation time, giving MBF-02 Strike Rouge’s Phase Shift Armor its red and pink hue. The MBF-02 Strike Rouge would prove instrumental in the Three Ships Alliance forces during the First Alliance-PLANT War. After briefly serving in the Second Alliance-PLANT War, the MBF-02 Strike Rouge began to show its age against newer Mobile Suits, with the ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam soon replacing the Strike Rouge as Cagalli Yula Athha’s personal Mobile Suit.

  • “Armor Schneider” Combat Knife x2
  • Anti-Beam Shield
  • XM404 “Grand Slam” Anti-Ship Sword
  • Beam Saber x2

Articulation
 –

The PG Strike Rouge borrows most of its construction from the previously released PG GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and the PG FX-550 Skygrasper + AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker, showcasing the in-universe lineage connecting these Mobile Weapons. This model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The PG Strike Rouge also features a cockpit hatch that reveals the 1/60 scale Cagalli Yula Athha figure at the controls! Bandai designed the PG Strike Freedom with a series of opening hatches on its exterior, adding a great deal of scale to the model and providing easy viewing access to its wonderfully detailed internals. The PG Strike Freedom features an LED built into its head and includes a thorough sheet of marking stickers for a supreme finish right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The PG Strike Rouge includes the 57mm High Energy Beam Rifle used in almost any configuration of the Strike Gundam. This weapon features an articulated forward grip for added security when firing. The XM404 “Grand Slam” Anti-Ship Sword included with the PG Strike Rouge features a chrome-finished blade for a shelf-worthy appearance without any paint! This weapon also features a folding handle to replicate its inactive state. The PG Strike Rouge also includes two Beam Sabers attached to the Aile Striker Pack with transparent pink beam effects to represent their activation.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the PG MBF-02 Strike Rouge + Skygrasper with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
