RG #14 ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam

$37.99

The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam is the pinnacle of Cosmic Era Mobile Suit development! The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam is the follow-up to the ZAFT’s Freedom Gundam, which met its end during Operation Angel Down. ZAFT began developing the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam to replace the Freedom, but, Terminal, an organization with ties to the Clyne Faction, stole the plans and completed the construction of the Strike Freedom as Kira Yamato’s personal unit. The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom incorporates aspects from many different Mobile Suits, including the Voiture Lumiere system utilized by the Stargazer Gundam. When coupled with the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam’s unique Hyper Deuterion Nuclear Reactor, the Voiture Lumiere could propel the Strike Freedom Gundam indefinitely, or at least until the reactor overexerted itself.

Included alongside the RG Strike Freedom for accessories:

  • MA-M21KF High Energy Beam Rifle x2
  • MA-M02G “Super Lacerta” Beam Saber x2
  • MX2200 Beam Shield
  • 1/144 Kira Yamato Figure

Articulation
 –

The RG Strike Freedom Gundam is one of many early Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG Strike Freedom Gundam uses almost twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. Builders can unfurl each wing segment of Strike Freedom Gundam’s backpack to reveal the plated gold parts! The Strike Freedom’s inner frame primarily uses Bandai’s gold injection plastic to provide the proper coloring without compromising the model’s integrity.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Each weapon features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Strike Freedom Gundam, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The RG Strike freedom includes two identical Beam Rifles, which builders can fuse and create an even more powerful handheld cannon. The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam comes with some massive onboard firepower. The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom features eight Super DRAGOONs, which Kira controls with his mind while piloting the Mobile Suit. Each DRAGOON includes a beam assault cannon for individual use or to work in tandem with the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam other weapons systems. The Strike Freedom Gundam also mounts a pair of Railguns to the side skirting armor.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Strike Freedom Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
