RG #24 MBF-P01-Re2AMATU Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina

$37.99

The Gold Frame Amatsu Mina began its life as one of five Gundam Astray units assembled in secret by the Orb Union. In their original configuration, the Gundam Astrays were identical, distinguished only by the color of their internal frame (as the name would suggest). The Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina became Ronda Mina Sahaku’s personal Mobile Suit after her twin brother, Rondo Gina Sahaku, perished inside the almost destroyed MBF-P01-ReAMATU Gold Frame Amatsu at the hands of Gai Murakumo and his Astray Blue Frame Second L. Ronda Mina would retrieve the Gold Frame’s remains and use them to build the Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina. Cosmetically, the Gold Frame Amatsu Mina is almost identical to the previous version, except for its new leg armor and redesigned feet. The Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina received completely overhauled internals, totaling a 30% increase in overall performance.

Included alongside The Gold Frame Amatsu Mina for accessories:

  • “Trikeros Kai” Armed Shield
  • “Tsumaha no Tachi” Triple Claw
  • “Okitsu no Kagami” Offensive Beam Shield System
  • “Totsuka no Tsurugi” Saber x2
  • 1/144 Ronda Mina Sahaku Figure
  • Action Base Adapter
  • Small Effect Stand

Articulation
 –

The RG Gold Frame Amatsu Mina is one of many early Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG Gold Frame Amatsu Mina uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. The RG Gold Frame Amatsu Mina uses the same dual molded MS Joint frame as the RG #19 MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame, providing the model with a wide range of motion and improved color separation. To recreate the mismatched right arm, which initially belonged to the Blitz Gundam, Bandai added parts molded in purplish-gray plastic to build the appendage without any MS Joint Parts or polycaps!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Each armament features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Gold Frame Amatsu Mina, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The RG Gold Frame Amatsu Mina features the “Okitsu no Kagami” Offensive Beam Shield System, which Bandai did not include with the High Grade version. This weapon attaches to the Gold Frame Amatsu Mina’s forearm and features an extendable wire for ranged attacks. The Okitsu no Kagami also doubles as a beam shield, for which Bandai provided an additional effect part.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
