Ver.Ka MG RX-93 Nu Gundam

$82.99

The RX-93 Nu Gundam is one of the most famous Mobile Suits piloted by Amuro Ray. Of his personal suits, the RX-93 Nu Gundam is easily one of the most powerful, thanks to its psychoframe construction and many other state-of-the-art improvements. Amuro would use the RX-93 Nu Gundam to defend Earth from the falling Axis Base during the Second Neo-Zeon War. The Nu Gundam is the first Federation Mobile Suit to utilize Psychoframe parts in its construction, a technology acquired from Char Aznable himself, who leaked the specifications to the Earth Federation in hopes of fighting Amuro Ray in equally matched Mobile Suits. The Nu Gundam was also one of the first and only Gundam Mobile Suits to utilize remote-controlled Fin Funnels, which employ built-in generators in place of rechargeable E-Packs. Hajime Katoki based the MG Nu Gundam Ver. Ka on the Mobile Suit’s appearance in the special-release G-DOME movie, which features a transformation gimmick similar to the Unicorn Gundam that reveals an assortment of psychoframe parts throughout the Mobile Suit’s frame.

Included alongside the MG Nu Gundam Ver. Ka for accessories:

  • Beam Saber (Double Blade)
  • Beam Saber
  • Fin Funnel x6

The MG Nu Gundam Ver. Ka supports the use of Bandai’s Gunpla LED Unit Green within its torso, providing modelers a simple means to add lighting to this already impressive model. The light will easily pass through the neck to light the head sensors and also provides the Mobile Suit’s cockpit with a green hue to represent the activated psychoframe parts. The instructions provide a clear and concise guide for transforming the Nu Gundam into its activated form. Once completed, the transparent green psychoframe parts will poke through the armor for an excellent display! The MG Nu Gundam Ver. Ka includes a bespoke display base in the shape of Amuro Ray’s personal insignia. This base comes with six smaller display arms for showcasing the Fin Funnels in an activated state.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The Hyper Bazooka slots into the backpack like in the movie too! The primary Beam Saber attaches to the Nu Gundam’s backpack and includes a unique pair of Beam Effects to recreate the Double-bladed action! The RX-93 Nu Gundam’s forearm contains a spare Beam Saber for emergency use. There is an alternate Beam Effect included for deploying this weapon too! Bandai provided the parts necessary to create the Double Fin Funnel variant of the Nu Gundam. Building the model in this fashion will eliminate the storage location for the Nu Gundam’s primary Beam Saber.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MG RX-93 Nu Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
